PM Modi Vows Action: No Mercy for NEET Paper Leak Culprits

In his Tuesday speech to the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the administration takes the problem of paper leaks seriously and will make sure those who are at fault are held accountable. In his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address, Modi stressed that efforts are being made to fortify the educational system and that legislation are being passed to solve this problem.

“I want to reassure all of the nation’s children and students that the administration is dedicated to stopping these kinds of things. We are taking action to meet our obligations, and those who endanger the prospects of our children will not get away with it,” Modi declared. He emphasized the ongoing arrests that are being made in relation to the NEET issue.

President Droupadi Murmu reaffirmed this promise in her speech to Parliament, saying that the government is committed to looking into paper leaks and making sure those who are responsible are held accountable. She underlined the value of integrity and openness in government hiring and testing procedures.

In connection with the NEET-UG paper leak, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed six First Information Reports (FIRs). Of these, five have come from different states and one was based on a recommendation from the Union Education Ministry. The CBI is now in charge of the Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Bihar investigations. On May 5, more over 23 lakh students took the NEET-UG exam at 4,750 centers in 571 cities, including foreign locations.

Opposition lawmakers in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have staged large-scale rallies in response to the incident, calling for responsibility. In an open letter to the prime minister, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, criticized the government’s handling of the NEET-UG issue and called for a debate on it.

In an effort to preserve India’s youth for the future and rebuild public confidence in the investigative process, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to impartial inquiries and severe penalties for those found guilty.
